Description
The BOB YAK trailer is the original BOB (Beast of Burden). It's very strong, but lightweight and carry up to 32 kilograms of all kinds of cargo. It comes in two sizes, allowing it to attach to nearly any bike's rear wheel hub. Because it connects at axle level, it makes for a low and stable trailer with great aerodynamics. It also leans together with the bike and follows its path, making it easy to follow narrow tracks. It also attaches quickly to the bike using the BOB quick release system.
If you're really looking to go offroad then have a look at the BOB IBEX with fully adjustable suspension.
Options
The BOB YAK is available in 26" and 28" sizes. The 28" is suitable for 29er mountain bikes and 700c bikes and bikes with full length mudguards and reflectors. The 28" version can be used with 26" bikes; it moves the centre of gravity a little and loading needs to be adjusted accordingly.
It also comes with or without the BOB Dry Sak - a 100% waterproof bag designed especially to fit the BOB cargo trailers.
N.B. You will need some BOB NUTZ if you have a bike without a quick release rear axle!
